How can you optimize games for Windows Vista?

DirectX 10 was meant to exploit maximum advantage of the multimedia capabilities of the Windows Vista operating system. Along with the DirectX 10 SDK, Microsoft is providing Windows Vista Game Explorer that provides an easy, secure, attractive and customizable way to present your game to users of Windows Vista. Game Explorer displays data about each game based on its Game Definition File [GDF]. GDF is an XML based document with customizable level of detail. Developers need to fill minimal set of information with many optional fields for providing additional information. Developers can also create localized GDF documents for each region. The Game Definition File Editor with its graphical interface organizes GDF data as projects and validates them. The accompanied resource compiler compiles the scripts into a target binary for Vista.
