What is the concept of destructors in VB.NET?
Destructors are used to de-allocate resources i.e. to clean up after an object is no longer available.Finalize is the destructor which is normally used. Finalize is called automatically when the .NET runtime determines that the object is no longer being used. Using the Finalize method in code looks like this:
Public Class Form1 Inherits System.Windows.Forms.Form Dim obj1 as new Class1 () End Class Public Class Dest Protected overrides Sub Finalize() ‘ calling the Finalize method End Sub End Class
