What is the mailbox?
The mailbox is an internal messaging system that will let you send a message to other registered Programmers Heaven users.
How do I write a message?
Click on the Mailbox link in the Members box to the left. On the page that appears, you will find Inbox (messages that you recieve), Outbox (messages you have sent) and Write Message. Click on Write Message and fill in the form that comes up.
You can also use the "Write Message" link on a user's personal page to send them a message.
How do I delete a message?
If you are in your Inbox, you can mark the checkbox next to the message(s) you want to delete and click the delete link.
If you are reading the message, you can click on the delete link accompanying the message.
Can I send and receive emails?
No, the mailbox is
not an email system that you can use with an email program. You don't have a user@programmersheaven.com email address.
Can I receive an email when I get new messages in my mailbox?
Yes. By default, an email is sent out to you as soon as you receive a new messsage. This can be controlled via the
My Settings ->
Privacy page.
How do I report abuse of the mailbox system?
If you receive an abusive message, then please
contact the Webmaster to report it.
What is considered abuse?
- Racial
- Sexual
- Any harrassment
- Spam/junk mail
