Description

it's a description of an evolutionary system and detailed results of some experiments. a virtual machine with a 2d memory map runs processes in code cells, that can have some small, assembler like programs (a delphi source and executable are available). focus lays on "reproduction" and "energy income".

there are no genetic algorithms used here, just the memory and the vm as-is. code cells can modify themself and other cells, and reproduce, given enough energy.

discussed are some ideas to influence the outcome in a positive way, f.e. have some complex interactions between code "tribes".
