Using Borland C++ 3.0 or 5.0 for embedded programming on 8/16 bit

I'm doing an 80c188B13 based micro computer and I want to use Borland C++ 3.0 or 5.0 for making the programming. I've used BC++ 3.0 in school but have long forgotten the tricks. Any ideas on how to make a hex-file (without linking dos.obj) using af definitions file (stating the addresses of segments and or CPU type?
