HiHi, I would like to ask how can I change things inside an exe file i.e., let's say the printout when executing the exe file look like "Hello World!", can I change it as "Hello Guys!!" by changing the content of the exe file??
You can try, but it's for your own risk. So don't blame me if your computer crashes.
By the way, why would you want to do that? If it's your own program you can edit the source code and if it's not and you can't get the source code, it's illegal to change it, isn't it?
So, go ahead and try!

With .exe files i think you have mess with the PSP first...
If it is a plain binarry file you can use enny hex editor - if you are good - or a disassembler.
... I would suggest you, take a look at the wast ammount of cracking sites (just so you know it; IT _IS_ ILLIGEAL.. yes, i have done it - but it did'nt turn me on)...
Well i have more for you, but know i have to kill some chilldren... mail, martin@r.olsen.as for more info, URLs, DOCs, etc.
Hacker's View (http://www.serje.net/sen/) is a great tool for doing this kind of things ;] Usually you can edit text strings in .exe files without causing a crash.. just make sure you don't make the string longer than it was ! That might cause some problems. If you change the string to a shorter form, remember to put 0-byte at the end of the string so that the program knows where the string ends. (Some old DOS programs use $ to stop strings.. check it yourself to see)
