Newbie in need of help

Does anyone know of a vb script whereby a user can save a file from a hyperlink text field. Let's say I have a value
on a hyperlink field pointed to a file on a shared directory eg. g:folderword.txt. And I would like the user to be
able to click on the url and prompt the user with a 'Save as' window prompt allowing them to download the file
wherever they want.
I'm doing this on an Access form/database so I'm short on VB programming.
Can anyone point me of another way of doing this perhaps using instead an OLE object field instead of through a hyperlink
Any help is much appreciated.
