To all interested:

I wrote a quick-and-dirty .vbs script that checks an .xml file for well-formedness (sic) and attempts to correct any errors found. It was put together in a couple of hours this morning, and currently only fixes errors with missing tags. For those that routinely work with .xml from others that may/not be valid. If interested, please reply to this post. If there is enough interest, I will post the source code. If there's another product that does this, let me know.
