Delete browser Info

Hi all,

How delete History/cookies in case of Konqueror/mozilla browser.
Is there any thing similar to "Temporay Internet folder of Windows" ? If there is one what is it called and how to empty its' contents.

Thanks in advance,
Shobha.

All of mozilla's stuff is stored in a hidden directory.
you should be able to get to it from:
% cd ~/.mozilla/default/*.slt/

The expanded name will look something like:
/home/somebody/.mozilla/default/o35jqfPSA.slt/

The "o35jqfPSA" part can be almost anything -
mozilla will generate a new random name each
time it creates the directory.

Bookmarks are saved in "bookmarks.html"
History is saved in "history.dat"
Cookies are saved in "cookies.txt"
The browser cache files are stored in a sub-directory named "Cache"

So you could use a shell script to delete everything:
#!/bin/bash
if ! [ -d ~/.mozilla/default/*.slt/ ]
then
echo "Cannot find mozilla directory!"
exit 1
fi
cd ~/.mozilla/default/*.slt/
# NOTE: you might want to take "bookmarks.html" out of the next line:
rm -f bookmarks.html history.dat cookies.txt Cache/*
Mozilla stores cookies in memory as long as it is running,
so if you want to use per-session cookies without storing
them on your harddrive, you can delete the cookies file,
and then create a symlink to /dev/null:

% rm cookies.txt
% ln -s /dev/null cookies.txt

I am not much of a KDE fan, so I can't help you with the konqueror thing.
