MS Comm

Where can I get the MsComm control?

Comments

  • If it's not part of VB4, then it's only part of VB5 and up.

    You can fairly easily control the modem without it though. You can open the port as you would any file and dial by "writing" to the port:

    Dim DialString As String * 13

    DialString = "ATDT5555555" & vbCrLf

    Open "Com3:" For Binary As 1

    Put #1, , DialString

    Hope this helps!

  • If you would like more info, repost and I'll see what I can come up with.
