    Im not sure, but I will say that the gnu C++ compiler is the best around. And its free. You usually find it on Your Linux-Cds

  • You won't find a compiler together with WYSIWYG GUI programming system like Borland Delphi or C++. Although you may want to see glade (glade.gnome.org) and qtez (go to www.kde.org and search for 'qtez'). To use them you need GCC (not a big problem, I guess).

    You can also try Kylix3- Open Edition (it has both C++ and Delphi).
    You can find it (free as well) on Borland's page).

    I don't know... it may be not very portable to other Un*x systems. And it's rather big compared to Glade and QTez. I didn't try it, and unable to comment more.
