hey, stupidest problem here...I have recently decided to learn ASP.NET but I can't even get a new project created!! LOL. I have IIS installed and when I try create a new ASP.NET project I get this error...
The default Web Access mode for this project is set to file share, but the project folder at '
http://localhost/WebApplication1' cannot be opened with the path 'c:inetpubwwwrootWebApplication1'. The error returned was:
Unable to create web project 'WebApplication1'. The file path 'c:inetpubwwwrootWebApplication1' does not correspond to the URL '
http://localhost/WebApplicatoin1'. The two need to map to the same server location
if anyone can just get me to the point where I can actually write some code, that would be great, thanks, lol

Open up Computer Management console. Go to Services and Applications.
Then IIS. Now Websites. Lastly Default Website.
See if your apps folder is there somewhere. Right click it.
Choose properties. If not already done make sure you click the Create button. Now try you project again.
Hope this helps
