VB5 under WindowsXP

Are there any known issues using VB5 with Windows XP. We are experiencing difficulties, most likely because of the use of Crescent Quickpack, but so far have not been able to find the exact cause. Any info/suggestions/help on this subject will be greatly appreciated.

With kind regards, Sandra Buster, Netherlands

    : Define "difficulties".

We manage an application in VB5 using an Oralce7 database. Under windows95 and later under windows2000 it worked fine. Now they want to go to WindowsXP. Under WindowsXP it seems impossible to write data to the Oracle database (which is on a Unix machine). An error is generated:
    ODBC--insert on a linked table '???' failed.
    Errornumber: 3155
    Procedure: PrepareReport(DAO.Database)
    Extra information:
    [Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle]ORA-01722:invalid number(1722)

Performing the exact same insert query in SQL Plus works like a charm.

In our development environment we have this problem all the time, in the production environment, this problem is arises after a Crystal Report (generated by the application) has been exported to Excel (5).

    Thanks for your help!
