This is a good ebook on assembly called "Art of Assembly" you can get it from here: http://webster.cs.ucr.edu/AoA/DOS/index.html
And what is the driver for?, also what os?.
eg: I am writing a os with lots of driver's, but they would not work on say XP.

I need a generic description on how drivers are build and how to install them eg:a driver for your keyboard or network adaptor or for for something else on XP or on DOS...Anyway i'm starting "studying" the Art of assembler book and also look in some links on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/coolcollections/links.

There also might be some tutorials out there, I am learning windows assembly - masm32, and have found quite a few good tutorials on it. Masm32 is very similar to C and C++. I have been programming in Dos assembly for about 16 yrs on and off, and am picking it up pretty fast. Being a C programmer, you could learn masm32 pretty easy.

[italic]...Masm32 is very similar to C and C++...[/italic]

[blue]It has the IF,ELSE,WHILE and all that, but it does not have OOP. There was an attempt to make it happen, but it has a lot of flaws and also slows down the code. I researched it well - I am working on a new generation IDE for ASM - will include OOP and a lot more...
