Logging Changes To New Table

I am wondering if anyone can supply any assistance to me.

I am trying to automatically track changes made to a form, by when the user closes the form the "User - Date - Old Value - New Value" is sent to a different table.

I understand that I can do A "On Close" command in the form but how do I command it to "setvalues" to new records especially the old value?

Thanks for all your assistance.

Louis

one way is to tie code to each data control [say a textbox] ON ENTER, GOT FOCUS, BEFORE UPDATE, or AFTER UPDATE events.

maintain a "before" value and an "updated" value in two variables.
then, when the AFTER UPDATE event fires and if the before/updated values are different- use a SQL INSERT statement to put those values into a tracking table.
