Web Designer Ft. Lauderdale, FL Perm

Position Summary



The Web Designer will assist in ensuring the success of this company’s web site through continued design enhancements and site maintenance activities. This candidate will work closely with Corporate Marketing and all business units to identify and implement continuous creative improvements to the site. Candidates will be involved in upgrading, maintaining and marketing of company Internet and intranet websites.

This Candidate will be able to do professional e-Commerce concept through design for a

Highly professional looking site.



 Primary Accountabilities



 Overall site design direction, HTML layout and graphic production for web pages, web applications.



 Propose designs and create prototypes for new web features.



 Work with a variety of vendors external and internal for web design and marketing.



 Assure consistency of the site with brand and Identity guidelines.



 Work closely with web developers, creative services, marketing and content providers (business units) to develop dynamic web experiences.





 Qualifications



 Bachelor’s degree required with at least 2-3 years of experience with web page creation and site design.

 Includes an in-depth knowledge of the web; ability to design web pages for current and older browsers, web graphics, and elements of web sites utilizing intuitive navigation.

 Proficiency with HTML needed - ability to hand-code a must.

 Ability to work in a highly creative, dynamic team environment Willingness to learn.

 Portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding of web page layout, usability, and information architecture.

 Proficiency in industry standard web applications including Photoshop, Freehand, and Dreamweaver. Knowledge of Fireworks, Paint Shop Pro and animation tools preferred.

 Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

 Knowledge of ASP (Active Server Page JavaScript and XLM languages preferred but not required.

 Experienced design and development skills.

 Excellent organizational and people skills. Must be a team player.

 Knowledge of Macintosh OS and applications preferred.
