Security Update 06 for the infected.

(1) If you are running Windows, please stop running in an administrator account for your normal activities. You are exposing your system to several vulnerabilities.

(2) If you like visiting explicit sites, please consider using a linux system (from a standard user account) to do so. This will greatly minimize your chances of infection by malicious code.

(3) Create a Bart's PE CDROM to compare your desktop/laptop system files outside of the operating environment regularly in addition to your normal virus scans. This is a good way to check for and identify rootkits.

  • I totally agree with you esp on number 1, exposing your system may harm it. It happened to me several times and I only have my friend to fix it for me. Thanks for the tips!!!
