I've just launched my modeling-languages portal (http://modeling-languages.com
) and the associated Software Modeling blog (http://modeling-languages.com/blog
As I say in the introduction:
"Modeling is supposed to be one of the most important activities in any software development process. At least this is the general understanding within the software engineering research community. However, in the day-to-day practice, modeling is usually regarded as, basically, a waste of time.
The goal of this portal is, with your help, to explore and discuss when, where and how modeling and modeling languages (and when NOT) can improve the current software development practice. I hope to involve both researchers and practitioners in this discussion.
Some of the technologies/methods/notations that will be covered in this portal are UML, Model-Driven Development (MDD), Model-Driven Architecture (MDA), OCL, model-transformations,..."
Please take a look at the site. I hope you find it useful. Any feedback will be much appreciated. Of course, if you like it, feel free to redistribute this information among your colleagues.
