delaying video display at bios boot time.

is it possible to delay for example 30 seconds the display of video.

i want to do this because i don't want to see the windows startup logo at boot time

i know some of you would suggest changing the startup logo but what i want

is from startup as in bios start up. or is it possible to just display my own graphics

at bios start up.

is it possible?

thanks in advance

You can set logo=0 in msdos.sys, so there won't be any graphics shown at boot time. (Just add a line containing 'logo=0' to the file c:msdos.sys)

BTW: If you press ESC while the logo is displayed, it will disappear.

I don't know how to display your own logo. The logos for shutdown are stored in c:windowslogos.sys and logow.sys. They are just .bmp-files. You can rename them to .bmp and edit them with PaintBrush or another image program.
