  • Is it possible to be more specific about your problem.
Can you post an example of such an image, or an internet example.

    Regards,
    Frank.

  • Hello,

Do you want to make an visual selection? Or do you want to detect their location inside the image (x-axis and y-axis coordinates)? When you want to make the edges visual (borders between light and dark gray) you need an edge detector, for example 'canny edge detector', default available in Matlab. If you want to know the location of the center position of the shape, and you know the gray scale value. This makes it easy to detect all pixels which belong to the shape. When you take the average of all x-values who belong to the shape and the average of all y-values which belong to the shape you get and xy-position which is in middle of the shape.
Is it possible to explain your problem better? This makes answering more easy.

    Kind regards,
    Frank
  • Thanks a lot. But I tried and couldn't do this example again:( I must do this today. I don't know matlab enough:( I'm trying trying but there is no result. Can you write the codes or send me the application's files? I'll pray for you.
  • Hello,

I don't have a Matlab environment available for the next 2 weeks. But it is still not clear to me what you try to achieve with your application.

    Kind regards,
    Frank
