I want my old 386 for something more than playing "gorillas" in DOS. How could I installlinux in such machine?. Which distribution should I use?.What kernel version would run properly?.Please, answer, thanx!

    Hi,

Yes its possible. I would suggest slackware coz you can easily install it on low memory machines. If you don't have a cd - drive, just put the packages on a floppy and do a floppy install. It still supports it. I would suggest slackware 4.0 but slackware7.1 will install fine too.
