How would I ask for input, but not show that input on the screen. So I would ask for a password, but only show **** or somwthing of the sort? In C++ please.
also, I have a "linker error, that says
[i]C:WINDOWSTEMPcctxU9fb.o: In function `_tf8iostream':
//c/dev-c_~1/myprog~1/silver~2.cpp:82: undefined reference to `Player::fight(void)'
C:DEV-C_~1LIB\libmingw32.a(main.o)(.text+0x8e): undefined reference to `WinMain@16'[i]
what does that mean? It was giving me compiler error messages, but then it suddenly did this.
"[red]Nothing[/red] is absolute." - ME
"If [red]Nothing[/red] is absolute, wouldn't there be [blue]something[/blue] that is absolute? Think about it." - ME again

I fixed it, but now I only get
[italic]C:DEV-C_~1LIB\libmingw32.a(main.o)(.text+0x8e): undefined reference to `WinMain@16'[/italic]
any ideas what that means?

C++ does not provide a built in method of doing that. However, there _are_ still plenty of ways. If you're using the Win32 Console (which is looks like you are from your linker error) you can use the Win32 Console API. Borland often comes with functions that you can use also. Another solution is ncurses.
