Here is a link to an article, which I found here. This article features a source code for compression in Delphi (Visual Pascal). With some work this source can be converted to BP7. I don't have FP, so I don't know how it will compile on that compiler.

Thanx, but the Huffman algorythm is not the best algorythm. But I don't found better algorythm...

Well ... there is no 'best' algorythm, otherwise makers of
programs such as all variants of ZIP, RAR, ARJ, LHA etc
would be out of bussiness and just one comany would have
    licence for 'the best' algorythm.

If you want to compress files just use exec() to call your
favourite compressor which is efficient enough for your
application. If you want to learn how to write programs
that can compress/decompress Huffman is just fine as a
starting point (I would say it is mandatory step if you
    want to write compressors).

If you are after free compressor code comparable to
popular comercial compressors, you should look into
    unix world (linux).

If none of above applies to you, you are probably just
wasting your time in this message board.

    Greetings,

    Iby

You are not out of luck just yet. I've found in my
bookmarks few sites with some compression code.
Some of them handle common compression algorythms
like the ones used in ZIP ir LHA:

    http://members.tripod.com/elad-j/Pascal/algorithms.htm
    http://www.larkin.lanit.ru/compress.htm
    http://www.bookcase.com/library/software/msdos.devel.apps.turbo-pascal.html

    I hope this helps,
