Menu frames

I'm kind of new to Javascript so please bear with me. I have set up a javascript menu and submenu frames page with frames. I have all the menus opening in one of the frames. Some of the menu items I want to open in a new window others I want to open in the page or frameset. How do I do this?

here is a short clip of some of the code I am using

var MENU_ITEMS = [
['Home','home.htm', 'main'],
[FAQ','faq.htm', 'main'],
];

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

    function MyWin(url,name,features) {
    win = window.open(url,name,features);
    }

    function MyFrame(URL,frame) {
    parent.window.frames[frame].location.href=URL;
    }

    MyWin("www.programmersheaven.com","Programmersheaven","toolbar,statusbar,scrollbars,width=200,height=200");
    MyFrame("www.programmersheaven.com","SomeFramesName");
    MyFrame("www.programmersheaven.com",0);
    // You could use a number or a framename to indicate the frame you want to acces
