Help with using the GWBASIC v2.02 environment

Hello,

I normally use Turbo BASIC for writing my BASIC programs. I recently tried out the GW BASIC v2.02 . The keys used for using the environment are F1 to F10.The functions of these keys as gets displayed in the environment are:
F1 - LIST , F2 - RUN <- , F3 - LOAD" , F4 - SAVE" , F5 - CONT <- , F6 - ",LPT",F7 - TRON,F8 - TROFF,F9 - KEY , F10 - SCREEN
There's no documentation that has come with it so I would like you to help me find answer to these questions

1) How do I exit from the environment ?

2) Could you plz explain in brief the keys F5 to F9 ?

Thank u :-)

  • Hi,
To exit GWBasic type "SYSTEM" (without quotes).

    F5 Continues from a STOP
F7 and F8 turn line tracing on and off
    F10 clears the screen

    I don't remember the other two (F6 and F9).

    Hope this helps.

F6-LPT would be print the code to the printer
F9-Key I think allows you to redefine a keystroke, say change F5 to GO
