    :

I tried it briefly a couple of years ago, but it had a problem with corrupting filenames on my hard drive. Needless to say, this was NOT acceptable behavior.
Here are a couple of more mature basic compilers:
    http://www.xbasic.org/
    http://www.yabasic.de/
    - but they don't have the component-based IDE.

If you are familiar at all with Delphi/Pascal, you might also want to
    check this out :
    http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/
  • Xbasic screws up its redraws and yabasic is interpreted.

Did it have all the controls and a GUI. I know envelop was powerful and I am wondering if it is like it like it states. I still have yet to find a distrobution I can install it on anyway though :(
