Hi Everybody,

I want to send an html-file as attachment in an eMail, but the following command in my shell-script is writing the html-tags as text in the eMail:
cat $FILE_DIR/P7287T30.html | /usr/lib/sendmail $EMAIL

Could please somebody tell me what I have to change?
Thank you!

This is because sendmail expects plain text e-mail message. You'll need to read about the basic mail headers and MIME. In your case the message needs to be a "multipart" message. There are RFC documents (above 2k) covering MIME, also read RFC 822 for mail headers.

Seems you've got lot of things to learn... ;-)
