I'm a big fan of racing games. I love Grand Prix 3&4 on the PC and I have come up with some good concepts for a program which can be used alongside these games, to enhance the experience of gamers. Basically, the idea is nothing new. A program which gives the gamer a chance to indirectly change the performance settings of the cars within the games.
These two games have been out for a while and so people have developed editors to allow the editing of performance stats of the cars. What my program will do is create an environment seperate from the game which allows them to interact with the media, do sponsorship deals, design parts for the car etc. In effect, the program will look at how the user has responded to the media etc and calculate and then output engine and reliability figures which the user can then put into an editor for the game.
It may sound a little complicated but actually all the program will do is create an RPG style element to a racing game. My only trouble is I am not a good programmer at all. I'm learning C++ at uni but am still pretty poor. What I want is a group of people who share the same sort of interest in this idea, who can turn my ideas (or try to) into a practical and fun program.
I look forward to hearing from you..
Many thanks. Marc
