    Hi GenuinePen

I think you can find more info on the net. Just ask one of the engine searcher like www.google.com . You will find so many Tutorials there.

    Cheers

Probably you'd need to buy a VB.NET book for beginners or online tutorials here:

    http://www.devarticles.com/c/b/VB.Net/
    http://www.developerfusion.co.uk/vbnet/288/
    http://www.vbdotnetheaven.com/Articles/ArticleListing.aspx?SectionID=2&SubSectionID=165

Always try to learn by following some sample applications or websites, that will help you a lot in your learning curve. Enjoy programming! :)

There are plenty of good example programs and tutorials on this page if I remember correctly. Furthermore, the participants of this forum enjoy helping so post questions in here.

Futhermore, if you don't want to shell out cash for VisualStudio there are open source IDE's out there. http://www.icsharpcode.net/opensource/sd/

I personally use VS, and have not tried much else. I would gamble that no open source project compares to the power of MS VS, but you cannot beat free...

    try
    http//www.msdn.microsoft
    or
    http//www.asp.net
both these sites carry a vast range of tutorial downloads and practice code
you should also be able to get a free version of visiual studio 2005 redistributable from the msdn site.
    hope this helps
