Open Source Perl editor

Also, does anyone know a good site to download a Perl editor, like KATE which is actually my fav, for free?? Unfortunately I'm running windows right now, coding in editpad using the Perl interpreter through command prompt, because I am still working on Linux(suse) for this comp, so I don't know if I could run KATE or not, but I do know I need a good coding editor, preferably from opensource for little or no cost. Any ideas?

Check out Padre, which is currently a work in progress but actually written in Perl itself (I saw it being talked about at the European Perl Conference just last week, not had chance to try it myself yet), and also EPIC, which is an Eclipse IDE plug-in for Perl support.

    Hope this helps!
