C++ to Windows application



  • There are two ways you can do it:

    Either get a fancy RAD tool like Embarcadero Builder or Visual Studio and learn how to use them. They are professional tools saving you a lot of effort when doing Windows programs. Both come in free versions that allow you to use plenty of features.

    Or you can learn Windows API programming from scratch. This is more complex, but will give you a deeper knowledge about how the Windows OS works. For this I recommend getting the book "Programming Windows" by Charles Petzold, it covers most things you need to know.
