Boot

Hi!

How can I start a pascal program before autoexec.bat is running?

Comments

  • I think the information in config.sys is read before
autoexec.bat. So, depending on the type of programme
you are wanting to run, you could put the load=progname
    into the config.sys file.

Normally this would be used to load devices like
himem.sys, so I'm not sure if this would work for just
    general programmes.

Hopefully someone else can give you some more help.

  • A simple cheat would be to patch command.com, replace autoexec with
say pre-auto. Create your specialist pre-auto.bat file containing your
commands and as the last line issue the command autoexec.....
