Perl Script I want to write

Hi,

I recently bought some domains and started building! I wanted to write a script that keeps count of hits from people that just come from my school. I have read books on PERL but did not find much on what I want to do. Any suggestions on how to handle this would be great!!

Are you saying that you want to know when someon who is AT
school accesses the site, you want to keep tabs on it, or when
someone who GOES to your school accesses the site, from
    anywhere?

If it is someone who is AT school, that should be fairly easy,
as long as you know the IP range from that school. Once you
know the IP range, you can use the environment variable
$ENV{REMOTE_ADDR} and compare it against the range that you
know is valid. If you don't know the IP range, this will not
be an easy task. In fact, I don't know of any other way to do
    so.

If you're refering to only people who GO to your school, but
not necesarily accessing one of your sites from the school, then
that is a whole new ballgame. You're going to have to have user
logins, which can get complicated, depending on what your site
uses, and then, even with user logins, you will have to know
who (by the names they give) comes from your school and who
doesn't, which means a database of names.. although it's not
hard to set up, you'll prolly spend more time filling the DB
    with names than anything.

    I hope this helps you.
