How to use this application?

I tried pressing piano keys after running the application but I could hear absolutly nothing. I could hear the intro music that gets played auotmattically when u run the application. Can you please suggest what is the problem???

there is a volume slider people, make sure to turn it on... :) d'oh :D it's an okay sample program, what I really want is a fullscale MIDI library that will let me choose instruments and play notes. i'm getting a third keyboard soon and i'm building notation software but i need the actual midi base.
