It was developed to allow access to parallel ports and ports on
custom hardware, but you can use it to attempt to access any
hardware that is mapped as an I/O port.

Does not help with the problem of direct port access under windows, but simply wraps the IN and OUT instructions with delphi code to produce an DLL.
Might be useful for VB scripters, though.

i connect led which gets ON on xp i written the prograsm in c++ with outportb to parralel port but led remains on no bit is going towards port why n where inpout32.dll i should copy at which location

Dear, I saw your comment about the Inpout32.dll file in Programmers Heaven and i assumed that you have the knowledge about this stuff. so,
can you please show me the steps like where to place this dll file inorder my programs get exected without error? And also i don't know what i should include in my program to link this inpout32.dll file.
