Is a library that contains a wide range of very highly
optimized and fast vector based geometrical algorithms and
routines for many different types of geometrical primitives
such as segment intersections, collision detection, hull
construction, triangulation.

Really excellent and useful code!! starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: mike on Monday, July 15, 2002

i've been using this code for like a
year now.
I can't believe the things that can be
done with some of the methods in Arash's
library!!!
really excellent stuff!!
keep up the good work!!!

Totally awesome piece of code!!!!!!!!! starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: richie on Monday, July 15, 2002

i think this is the best geo lib i've ever seen.
heaps of cool features.
you gotta love this guy, he
is just brilliant :D

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOSOME :P

interesting piece of code starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: Anna on Thursday, December 05, 2002

good library structure, i haven't done any
tests on the performance of the algos but
seeing as though they are all vector based
it must be much faster than the other iterative
algos out there. good work nonetheless
i hope OO delphi port will be out soon

excellent geometrics library starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: Marcus on Monday, December 09, 2002

this is a really useful piece of code, and
i can see many areas in which it can be applied.
keep up the good work arash!

excellent geo lib starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: norm on Monday, December 09, 2002

i found the polygon functionality very uselful, hopefully a new version will be available soon, heaps more algos could be but still it a good piece of code

Good examples for vector based solutions starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: michael proter on Friday, December 05, 2003

I found some of the ideas presented in the
code to be really interesting, obviously
they are all just Pascal implementations
of stuff thats been invented over the past
few years as the author explains.
The documentation requires updates and needs
to be a bit more concise. other than that
its a great library for learning geometrical
algorithms in Pascal. I give it 5 STARS *****.

BTW I don't know what the previous poster Rory
is on, I can disagree with nearly everything he
has commented on just due to the fact that he
hasn't read the documentation explaining that
the methods must be used in conjunction with
each other. ie: to check ascertain the point
of intersection between two segments do:

1.) check if collinear (is collinear)
2.) check if they intersect (segmentintersect)
3.) get segment intersect point.

I can see why arash would break up the methods
in such a way that is to increase efficiency
and not force the user to have checks they
really don't want.

Interesting package of algorithms starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: George on Friday, December 12, 2003

even though i disagree with the choice of
language, its a good implementation of basic
yet fast geometric primitives. I think it
would be nice if some of the library would
be updated, i think its about 4 years old
now.

fastgeo has a good interface, and provides
a wide variety of methods to enable a lay-user to interact with the world of geometry.

only question and i don't think i'm the only one, is when will the next version be coming out??????

It's cool! Understandable and useful. Why don't you make a DirectX 3D library?

Great! starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: Klaus on Wednesday, April 30, 2008

Perfect! Most useful, I immediately solved my problem here - thanks a lot! :)

Real nice to find such a useful tool.
