SLUDGE is a scripting language for adventure game development.
The development kit contains the project manager, compiler,
floor maker, z-buffer maker and sprite bank editor. The system
supports multi-directional scrolling, pathfinding,
transparency, any screen resolution / window size, full
"talkie" capabilities, scaling, interactive conversations and
several audio formats (including .WAV, .MP3, .MID, .XM and
.S3M). Games are compiled into single files ready for use with
the engine (available seperately from the Hungry Software
site).

it might have been better if everything was in one program, and it is not easy to use and the tutorial almost doesnt help you at all

I don't know if these other reviewers are just braindead, but the software looks really nice to me! Well written and makes near-professional looking games.

People who give this bad ratings need to understand you must write code to use it. The code is easy to write if you just modify one of the example programs.
Makes NICE, PROFESSIONAL games, but you have to work, it won't magically build the game for you. Go to http://hungrysoftware.com/

It is certainly one of the best Adventure Creation language around. And it has the best licence agreement for anyone that wants to publish his work professionaly.

This program can let you create adventure games like "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis" and others. It's awesome!
