Ruler By George! is an advanced Windows screen ruler application that offers an easy and intuitive method of making screen measurements. Simply drag and rotate the ruler to measure the objest on the screen. Measure a window or any part of the Windows desktop. You can choose among three measurement units (pixels, inches, centimeters), customize colors and font to achieve the optimal result.

The program seems to work fine, but the ruler calibrations turn off after a minute or so. Since the "Trial Copy" text doesn't I suspect this is a nag feature - but it's undocumented in the help.

Position and size are retained between invocations, which is really nice. It's a handy tool so far, and I'm just going to pay the shareware fee.
