maybe lack of HOWTO?

if you would like to highlight Java, C/C++, HTML, LaTeX, SQL or Java properties this package is great. "More can be added with relative ease" - but i didn't found how!

Deadlocks

Hello, I am very proud that I found this project, as I tried to create such a project by my own but without success. The ProgrammerEditorDemo works well, but there seems to be a problem: If one is pressing a lot of keys in a rapid frequence, a deadlock appears. I was not able to find the reason (using java 1.4.2 and java 1.5 under Debian Linux).

how to avoid deadlock

To avoid deadlock, you have to synchronize Colorer thread with thread processing AWT events. I did it using own JTextPane subclass (see http://graphil.sourceforge.net/): public class MyTextPane extends JTextPane { TextEditorExp edit; public void processEvent(AWTEvent e){ synchronized(edit.doclock){ super.processEvent(e); } } }
