DevCont enables you to easily connect with any computer and any
port. It is capable of exchangig data with any service. To do
so, DevCont is able to handle TCP/IP as well as UDP/IP and it
knows three different modes of sending and receiving data. Data
can be sent and received in ASCII mode (perfectly suitable for
protocols like SMTP or POP3), in binary mode (meant for
connections/protocols, which do not transmit plain and
printable ASCII characters (e.g. SOCKS)) and in advanced mode
(which is a mix of ASCII and binary mode)! DevCont is to enable
developers to test the behavior of their server applications in
a very simple way, without the necessity to specially write a
client for this task.
