This could be the best io DLL.... but despite successfully accessing the contained functions I can't get it to work... The supply site has no contact email either.

Works On VB6, but Not VB3 As Listed starstarstarstar   Posted on Tuesday, March 18, 2003

Got this to work with VB6 app on 95/98 and 2000. But no go on VB3 on 95/98. I think it is a 32-bit DLL which is not suitable for 16-bit applications like older versions of Delphi and VB. I'd give it 5/5 if I could get it to work on VB3!

Excellent tool starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: W.Bauspiess on Wednesday, April 09, 2003

Very nice small tool, works just fine in WIN2000/Delphi7 environment. Good idea to put some background info into the readme file.

To get it working... (Not rated)   Posted on Tuesday, July 08, 2003

be sure to run the...

LoadIODLL();

...function somewhere towards the top of your code.

Great App the instruction are easy to follow starstarstarstarstar   Posted on Saturday, July 26, 2003

If your interface is the parrallel port the address as you know is 0x378 thats hex. It is so straight foward.

Nice,Can work starstarstarstar   Posted on Thursday, December 25, 2003

Wishes to mix in exe?
lib or obj?

Stunning starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: Erich on Tuesday, January 27, 2004

Used it in VB.net and PiNg it works like a charm.
Cant think of an easier way to access the parallel port in win XP.

Sounds cool, pity the documentation is so poor starstarstarstar   Posted on Tuesday, January 27, 2004

The DLL sounds like it would do exactly what I have been looking for. A pity the documentation doesn't explain properly how to include it into a Visual C++ application. An exaple would be well worth the 10 minutes it would take the author to create it.

Thanks, thanks, thanks starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: Irving on Wednesday, March 10, 2004

One of the most useful tools in programming.

The one and only starstarstarstarstar   Posted on Monday, May 24, 2004

Works perfectly, whithout much preparation!

Marvelous Speeeeedy WOW!   Posted on Sunday, January 30, 2005

About 6 times faster than Windriver,
Easy to use,
Easy to understand,
It also works well on Win 2003.

In PIV-1.6GHz:
-WinDriver, doing IN(addr), is 10 microsecond.
-IO.DLL, doing IN(addr), is 1.3 microsecond.

The best io.dll. Faster than many others starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: Bernardo on Tuesday, February 08, 2005

What must I do to use this dll in C# to avoid the message error ¨The IO.SYS Service is present, but the driver cannot be connected to¨ the first time the application runs

good but need help (Not rated)   Posted on Tuesday, July 26, 2005

This is been used with XP embedded & it works fine 2nd time onwards. 1st time it throws can't open IO.SYS. How to resolve this? I used it to talk to watchdog timer. It throws BSOD whenever watchdog fires & reboots system. (BSOD is 0xC000021a & 0xC000026c). How to solve.

a question starstarstar   Posted by: melika on Sunday, August 27, 2006

how can I use it in windows xp and in delphi to read from a 9-pin male port?
thanks
