Forget A5 and the rest, it's time for the best. And the best is Bark Basic Pro.
The Demo was awsome and it took only 3 days and I was hooked.

This is the old and obsolete DarkBasic demo, NOT the current DarkBasicPro demo.

Darkbasic is an interpreted basic, which is no longer developed or updated, but in it's day it was pretty good.

You might want to check out DarkBasicPro instead, but be aware that it is currently not stable and is outright incompatible with many PC's. It's requirements are very steep and DarkBasicPro really isn't suitable for shareware developers(Aug. 2004).

Consider it BETA software at the moment, however, the situation might very well change in the future, so keep an eye out for changes on the TGC website.
