Submitted By: thornerp
Rating: starstar (Rate It)

The KineticaRT .NET OPC Client component provides objects,
which communicate with any OPC DA Server and allow values to be
transmitted and received in real-time. The client can be used
with very little configuration and can be controlled by
KineticaRT Controls e.g. the Knob, or monitored by KineticaRT
Controls e.g. the Dial. Features include real-time
multi-threaded connection with no application software required
and supports update rates up to 100Hz. It is a member of a
family of related components called KineticaRT, which can be
used separately or in unison to build control and monitoring
applications.

It works but the help and errors minimal starstar   Posted on Wednesday, July 06, 2005

The help is very limited and there seems to be no really good way of knowing if things are working correctly or at least why they are not working. Some error/connected callbacks or events would be nice. It would also be nice for example to be able to distinguish between a bad value from the server from a bad value because of a failure to communicate with the server.

The help contains litte more than what can be seen from intellisense. There is at least one example available though.
