This is MS-DOS debugger just like SYMDEB.EXE which supports 386
instructions. The reason why I made this software is
SYMDEB.EXE(Microsoft provided before) does not support 386
instructions.

Just the needed, good for small programs

Has a big problem in my opinion! starstar   Posted by: The Starman on Saturday, June 28, 2003

Things seemed to work ok UNTIL I tried to debug through a (F3) REP then MOVSB pair of instructions: when I jumped to where the code was supposed to have been copied, it wasn't there!! NOTHING had been copied at all... I'm giving it only a 2, because I'm not sure what else can't be trusted! The disassembly of code works, but debugger has some 'bugs' of its own apparently. Text file with it implies its a finished product but I guess the author gave up on it too soon. I tried it in both a DOS-box and Real-mode, did the same thing... it's a repeatable problem. In all fairness, I have not yet tried to contact the author, *but* I'd still suggest using another free offering here called "Get Real Debugger" (GRDB) which does include the MS-DEBUG-like practice of showing the value that a Data register is "pointing to" as well more than this one.
