MaskedJPEG - Image SDK 1.0
The MaskedJPEG format is an extension of standard JPEG, those
exists to retain the background color of the picture by storing
an additional compressed mask channel. So it is possible to
ensure the usage of transparent images, like it in games and
skin based applications is necessary. With normal jpegs this
way is impossible, because pure jpegs impurities in boundary
regions exhibit. With the employment of MJPEG the file size
sinks dramatically.
