HP LPT CFG - On certain HP notebook computers, the parallel
port is hard coded in the BIOS to be set to ECP mode only, and
provides no way of changing the mode or any other settings.
This DOS mode program allows users to change the base address,
DMA channel, IRQ, and mode settings. (SPP, EPP, bidirectional,
etc) The program attempts to find a super I/O device located at
I/O port 370h or 3f0h. Many ALI based chipsets, like the 1541,
1535, 1533 incorporate embedded Super I/O devices into their
chipsets. This program was written for a specific line of HP's
notebooks, and has been tested on the HP NX9010 notebook only.
Your results may vary on different hardware.

this program was very useful for my hp pavilion. I had a FLASH/eeprom writer program through JTAG/parallel ports which complained about ECP mode. with this, i switched to EPP.

way to go
keep it up
thanks
alex
