Linux Networking Messaging Tool v1.0

Submitted By: Shrinidhi
Rating: starstarstar (Rate It)

The project aims at providing a remote utility which helps in
messaging in a LAN. The difference between this utility and
normal messaging utilities is that this one is specifically
designed for use on a LAN. There is no central server which
governs the routing of messages. Instead each of the individual
computers are responsible for managing the network. Each
application has both a client and a server component embedded
into it which helps it achieve the above. We allow the
facilities of saving messages. The other options include
replying, forwarding messages. An auto-answer facility has also
been provided so that if the person is very busy then he need
not be disturbed with unnecessary messages. The utility not
only helps in messaging but also helps to monitor remote
computers with the remote snapshot option which displays the
state of the remote desktop at that instant.
