CLASSPATH CANUCK 1.1
CLASSPATH CANUCK is a simple tool to verify the java CLASSPATH for Windows XP, as well as common java environment VARs and and the cmd path for that session. Tool displays JAR (contents unzippped) and directory contents. Users also may add their own VARs to display and validate. Right-click items for menu or Dbl-click to view contents of an item. A simple help menu is included. The tool reports errors. readme.txt included. This zipped EXE will not change any item on a PC nor does it touch the registry or create any icon on desktop or in startup. The ClassPath Canuck environment tool for java developers will detect classpath conflicts, validate CLASSPATH and PATH and common java environment vars such as JAVA_HOME. ClassPath Canuck lists JARs separately and reports errors. Option to lists all CLASSPATH items in alpha by LIB and BIN parent. Next version will detail LIB and JAR and report LIB and BIN conflicts. Written inSmalltalk, as was IBM VisualAge for Java: does not depend on a java environment to run. Once the prototype was up and running, it found 2 errors on the PC on which it was built!
