DataLogger II 5.0

I wrote this program to monitor the input of an RS232 Serial
Port and graphically log all activity. It acts and operates
just like a Digital Storage Oscilloscope, capable of logging up
to 5 hours in one file. It has real time cursors, displaying
amplitude, time, time position and frequency. The program
monitors a selected Comm Port and records the digital values
sent to it (Range 0 ~ 255). It runs in two clock modes (Horiz
step modes) selectable by the user. It does not send anything
out the comm. port (It reads the port only). All files are
saved as DataLogger Files (*.dlg). You can save either an image
(screenshot) of the display window or the whole program (form).
You can use the On Screen Display (OSD) function to include all
cursor data in a display window save. Files are saved in “.bmp”
format.

Congrats on some nice coding must have taken some midnight oil ;)

WOW! Gr8 work. starstarstarstarstar   Posted by: Thief_ on Saturday, June 11, 2005

I'd like to see a USB logging module too. My idea is to create a black box which logs the data from 4 channels and buffers it while the app retrieves the data over USB. What's involved in modifying it for another 3 channels?

Top job!

Fantastic Coding with some problems... starstarstar   Posted by: Wai Kong Lee on Monday, November 07, 2005

This program is very nice,i had fun playing with it. But a real oscilloscope can also display negative waveform, but this cant. Any suggestions on how to modify it? If not my sinewave input will only have half displayed.
