This is an advanced portable C++ library with 24 variations of the ASSERT macro, to add expressions, levels, groups, failure actions and/or optional actions. They are modular because they can also use Rich Booleans, allowing much more combinations than non-modular ASSERT macros.

You can add loggers and a responder to log the information of a failed assertion and/or display it the user. You can use the provided ones or write your own ones. These can have a filter associated with them. They log and display quite some useful information, especially if you use a Rich Boolean.

Displaying and logging of assertions can each be controlled at runtime per case, level, group, source code file or all at once. This can also be done at compiletime per level, group, source code file or all at once, to reduce the size of the executable.

It requires the Rich Booleans library (see documentation for download link). It also requires STL or wxWidgets.
